I’m Pretty Obsessed With These Things:
My wife, Jenny.
My 18 month old son.
I Changed Jobs!
So I just accepted a role at Sweet Fish as an Executive Producer. I’m wrapping up my second month on the team and it’s been an absolute blast!
For the last year, I was working with SMC National and it was amazing. I learned so much and it helped me become a much better LEADER. But I’m grateful for this next step at Sweet Fish and to be located in Orlando is a huge plus. It’s fun to collaborate with a team in person after being remote for the last 5 years.
My YouTube Channel Popped!
Dude it’s crazy. Last year, I was losing subscribers at a rate of 100 a week and continually got hate comments on my videos from the Mr. Beast fiasco.
However I decided to really niche down and make entertainment Disney content… and it’s working! Instead of trying to “crank out” content, I just spent as much time as I could on making ONE banger… and it worked! The video generated over 150k+ views in the last few months and has really helped me to start building an audience and value proposition in the space. I’m pumped. Let’s chat about it.
I’m a Dad…again!
Our son is 18 months old at the time of writing this (June 12,2025)
He’s awesome. I’m literally obsessed with him. I want to hang out with him all the time and I enjoy just watching him learn and grow.
but my wife and I are also expecting our second in October!!! Crazy!! We’ll be living that 2 under 2 life for a few months and we’re ecstatic.
2025… the Year of ‘Sow’
I haven’t been perfect with this. But the word I picked for the year of 2025 is “sow.”
I feel as if the past few years, I haven’t been able to make things that lasted.
Short form video.
Blog posts.
Instagram Stories.
These are all short term and timely pieces of media. Temporary. They only matter for a bit of time and then they disappear into the ever growing ether of media.
This year I wanted to mark a change in thinking. I want to make things that last… and those things take time.
Long form, evergreen YouTube videos.
Physical Journal entries
a flippin book.
I want this year to be the year things change where the work I do ends up paying off in 5 years… not tomorrow. We’re getting there!
Complete AtrioVentricular Septum Defect
Last year my son had to undergo open heart surgery at the age of 8 months old in order to save his life.
Since then life has been filled with constantly relearning what “normal” is.
But it’s been a good journey. The Lord has brought us through it and we’re out on the other side right now.
Baby Dino has regular checkups with his cardiologist and is in the top 75% in size, head circumference, and weight for kids his age! Praise God!
