Do It "Bad"

I Didn't Want to Send This...

I’m gonna be real with you.

I was nervous to write this. I missed sending an email last week and I felt embarrassed. I had some new subscribers pop in and I wanted to impress them with my “Knowledge,” so I’ve been keeping the browser tab open all morning.

Letting it whisper and call to me: “Come write this emailllll.”

But I don’t want to.

What am I gonna say?

I start to feel like I don’t have anything valuable to add to the conversation. I get nervous it’s not gonna help anyone. I feel like a fraud.

Why does this matter? Because you’re reading it, aren’t you?

The #1 reason you don’t post is because you feel just like I do: insecure, scared, nervous.

“But Dino, how do I fix this?”

I’ll tell you: post it “bad.”

Post a terrible first draft. Post a terribly edited video. Post it with audio quality from your car’s Bluetooth speaker while you’re trying to merge into oncoming traffic.

Post it bad.

The video that will change your life is 231 videos away. You just have to make the next 231 videos to get there.

The people who are winning aren’t smarter than you. They’re not more talented. They just posted when they didn’t feel ready. They hit publish when it wasn’t perfect. They sent the email when they didn’t know what to say.

So here’s yours. And here’s mine.

See you tomorrow.
